Innovation for Health conference in Utrecht
Innovation for Health is a leading conference for key players in the health and life sciences sector. During the event, insights were shared on the latest trends in life sciences and healthcare, and valuable connections and collaborations were established.
The conference brought together nearly 1,000 innovators, entrepreneurs, scientists, policymakers, investors, and experts from the health and life sciences field to help shape the future of healthcare.
This year, it took place in Utrecht for the first time, a region known for its strong national and international position in the life sciences and health sector, and often referred to as “Heart of Health“.
Utrecht Pavilion
Utrecht Science Park Foundation, together with several partners from Utrecht Science Park and the wider Utrecht region, was present at the conference. In addition to Utrecht Science Park Foundation, the Utrecht Pavilion included the following partners:
Ombion, Biotech Booster, Oncode Accelerator, RegMed XB, ROM Utrecht Region, Universiteit Utrecht – CLARF, Lygature and Health-RI. Many valuable connections were made, and knowledge and information were exchanged through various inspiring sessions. We look back on a highly successful conference and would like to thank everyone for their attendance and/or contribution to the organization.
In 2027, the conference will once again take place in Utrecht, on March 11, 2027.

Living Lab in the Spotlight: Utrecht Science Park
Utrecht Science Park is home to several living labs focused on energy and circularity. These include Lumifield, which explores the generation and storage of solar energy, and the biogas digester, which uses organic waste as an energy source. The sixth edition of Utrecht Science Week takes place from Friday, 25 September to Sunday, 4 October. During this time, Utrecht Science Park opens its doors to the general public, showcasing how research, innovation, and collaboration lead to tangible societal and economic impact. At the same time, the week underscores the importance of sustained investment in knowledge and innovation.
Looking back at Utrecht Science Week: research, education, and entrepreneurship in the spotlight
Utrecht Science Week 2026 has come to a close. For over a week, visitors enjoyed workshops, lectures, group discussions, and tours focused on science and innovation at Utrecht Science Park. With more than thirty program activities across over 25 locations, there were ample opportunities to experience science up close. We look back on a fantastic week that once again highlighted the essential role of collaboration, and the combination of research, education, and entrepreneurship, in addressing the societal challenges of our time.
