HEALTH CITIES DAYS in Utrecht

Datum:
Health Cities

From 14 to 16 April 2026, the city of Utrecht will host a three-day study visit within the framework of the Health Cities project .

ROM Utrecht Region is working together with eight European partners on the Interreg Europe Health Cities project. Within this alliance, cities share knowledge and experiences to strengthen the Life Sciences & Health sector, support startups and SMEs, attract talent, and create greater impact together.

This visit will explore how the Utrecht region builds and sustains a strong Life Sciences & Health ecosystem. Through best practices, site visits and dialogue, we aim to exchange knowledge and inspire each other on ecosystem strategy, governance models, science parks and support structures.

Each day of the visit will focus on a different aspect of ecosystem development through a combination of expert presentations, site visits and peer-learning activities:

  • Day 1 – Ecosystem Governance Day will explore how regional collaboration and governance structures support the development of the Life Sciences & Health ecosystem.
  • Day 2 – Science Park & Innovation Support Day will focus on the role of Utrecht Science Park as a hub for research, entrepreneurship and collaboration.
  • Day 3 – Ecosystem Acceleration through Events  will highlight how large-scale events and international conferences can strengthen innovation ecosystems by facilitating knowledge exchange, visibility and matchmaking between stakeholders.

The study visit will also include opportunities for informal networking, peer exchange and dialogue between participating regions on shared challenges and opportunities in strengthening Life Sciences & Health ecosystems.

More information and the detailed agenda will be shared with participants ahead of the visit.
