Construction of the International School Utrecht at Utrecht Science Park begins this autumn

Construction of the International School Utrecht at Utrecht Science Park starts in autumn 2024, providing a permanent location with diverse facilities and strengthening the region’s international education and business climate.
Construction of the International School Utrecht (ISU) at Utrecht Science Park will begin this fall. The arrival of ISU will be a significant addition and enrichment for both Utrecht Science Park and the city of Utrecht. With ISU, Utrecht Science Park will offer an even broader range of educational options and strengthen the international business climate of the Utrecht region (and Utrecht Science Park).
The International School Utrecht will be located on Cambridgelaan at Utrecht Science Park. The building will provide ample space for education and learning with various facilities, including indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a theater, spaces for visual arts and design, music studios, science labs, and green areas for outdoor learning. Additionally, the building will house both childcare and after-school care.
Construction of the International School Utrecht will start in autumn 2024. The new building is expected to be operational in 2027.
About International School Utrecht
ISU was established in 2012 and has operated in various temporary units since its opening. With the new building at Utrecht Science Park, ISU will have a permanent location. Currently, the school has nearly 1,200 students aged 4 to 18 from 60 different nationalities. ISU provides suitable education for children of internationally working parents who typically stay in the Netherlands for about three years. Worldwide, children follow the same curriculum in English, allowing them to change countries and schools without falling behind. ISU also offers tailored education for Dutch children returning from abroad or who will soon move abroad with their families.
