Want to be well prepared for your distance in the Utrecht Marathon on 31 May 2026? The Olympos Sports Centre at Utrecht Science Park offers 10-week running training programmes for different levels and distances.
Want to be well prepared for your distance in the Utrecht Marathon on 31 May 2026? The Olympos Sports Centre at Utrecht Science Park offers 10-week running training programmes for different levels and distances.
You will receive tips from professional trainers and improve your technique, speed and distance. Running in a group is also motivating and enjoyable. Watch the short video here and also here.
You can choose from the following training sessions:
- Monday 5.30-7 p.m: 5-10 km
- Tuesday 6.30-7.45 p.m: beginners
- Wednesday 5.30-6.45 p.m: all levels (in the city centre)
- Thursday 5:15-6:45 p.m: 10+ km (half/full marathon)
Here is how to register and join:
- You can register for free with OlymPas and join the trainings.
- Start registration for a new series of 10 weeks/training sessions: Monday 26 January.
- Start training sessions: in the week of 9 February.

ZonMw grants for group leaders Den Hertog, Mattiroli, Bakkers and Van Rooij

Jeroen Kingma to be the new Director of Campus & Facilities
As of 1 April 2026, Jeroen Kingma will be the new Director of the Campus & Facilities. In this role, he will lead the Campus & Facilities department and will be responsible for policy and implementation in the areas of real estate, accommodation and facility services. Kingma currently serves as Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board at Zorggroep Tangenborgh.

Utrecht Science Park Foundation is looking for a new Director-Executive
The current Director-Executive, Jan Henk van der Velden of the Utrecht Science Park Foundation, has announced that he will step down from his role as of July 1, 2026. In the coming period, a search will be conducted for an enthusiastic successor.
