Utrecht Science Park Foundation is looking for a new Director-Executive
The current Director-Executive, Jan Henk van der Velden of the Utrecht Science Park Foundation, has announced that he will step down from his role as of July 1, 2026. In the coming period, a search will be conducted for an enthusiastic successor.
The Director-Executive, together with the partners, is responsible for aligning public and private interests, strengthening cohesion within the community, creating the conditions for innovation and valorisation, and further expanding the international position, with a focus on impact, competitiveness, startup development, attracting talent, and the quality of life for thousands of users.
The search is for a visionary ecosystem builder with governance experience, as well as a hands-on mindset to address operational challenges. The ideal candidate combines public-sector leadership experience with private-sector agility, is an excellent networker, moves fluently between science, policy, and entrepreneurship, and is able to connect diverse interests.
