Marathon Utrecht, 2025, finish

On Sunday, 31 May 2026, Utrecht will once again revolve around the HiPRO Utrecht Marathon, supported by Utrecht Science Park.

The 2025 edition attracted more than 18,500 participants to the city, cementing the event’s reputation as a major running highlight for athletes from Utrecht and beyond.

The organization is preparing for another memorable edition, with a new addition: the Dutch Half Marathon Championships. As of today, registration for all race categories is open.

Dutch Half Marathon Championships
For the 42nd edition of the HiPRO Utrecht Marathon, the Dutch Championships will be added to the program. In 2026, the Half Marathon will serve as the official championship race, bringing together elite athletics and recreational running in the heart of Utrecht.

Business Unit Director Wim Nuyts: “We look forward to the 2026 edition and are excited to add the Dutch Half Marathon Championships to the program. The HiPRO Utrecht Marathon has grown into a leading event for the city of Utrecht, and once again we expect many enthusiastic supporters along the course.”

Jasper van Aalst of Utrecht Science Park Foundation: “We are very proud that Utrecht Science Park will once again be the setting for this fantastic sporting event. As the largest science park in the Netherlands, more than 31,000 employees and 55,000 students work here every day toward a healthy, sustainable society. A healthy lifestyle through sports and exercise is an essential part of that mission, and we wholeheartedly support this event together with all partners at Utrecht Science Park.”

Program for all ages
The HiPRO Utrecht Marathon 2026 features multiple race categories, and once again large crowds of supporters are expected along the route:
