Visitors versus employees
All of the above rates apply to visitors of Utrecht Science Park. Employees of organizations located at Utrecht Science Park may be subject to different arrangements due to internal agreements or staff discount schemes. For these, please refer to the websites or intranets of the individual organizations, such as UMC Utrecht, Utrecht University, Hogeschool Utrecht, and the Princess Máxima Center.
No more cash payments
In addition to the above rate changes, as of 1 January 2026, it will no longer be possible to pay with cash at the parking meters at Utrecht Science Park. Visitors can continue to pay using the available debit card and contactless payment options. This decision was made because usage data shows that the cash payment option is hardly ever used. Furthermore, the costs associated with collecting and processing cash no longer outweigh the limited number of transactions. The maintenance and secure handling of cash make this payment method significantly more expensive than digital alternatives.
