Kuros signs agreement with USPB

Kuros will expand R&D and manufacturing activities.
Utrecht Science Park Bilthoven (USP Bilthoven), the science park for life science and biomanufacturing companies, has entered into a lease agreement with Kuros Biosciences to support the company’s continued growth and expansion of R&D and manufacturing activities. This milestone agreement underscores USP Bilthoven’s ambition to be a premier destination for companies scaling advanced biomanufacturing and life sciences operations in Europe.
Kuros Biosciences is a fast-growing global company on a mission to discover, develop and deliver innovative biologic technologies. To meet growing demand for its flagship product MagnetOs, Kuroswill lease space on campus to host laboratories and offices that will support its manufacturing and R&D activities. “Kuros is pleased to expand its footprint at USP Bilthoven as we prepare for the future,” said Sjoerd Musters, Chief Operating Officer of Kuros Biosciences. “The facilities and infrastructure available at USP Bilthoven provide the environment we need to support our operations.”
Long-term development strategy
The agreement will enable Kuros to support production and optimise workflows. Welcoming a globally operating biologics company like Kuros to the science park aligns with USP Bilthoven’s long-term development strategy.
With this expansion, USP Bilthoven reinforces its role as the science park where biomanufacturing scales. A decisive factor in the expansion was USP Bilthoven’s ability to meet Kuros’ requirements for manufacturing infrastructure including energy capacity, which is essential for modern production. The campus is specifically designed to support regulated and high-value production environments, offering a scalable and sustainable foundation for growth.
“This expansion demonstrates exactly what Utrecht Science Park Bilthoven stands for,” says Jorrit van Hoorn, Director Corporate Development for USP Bilthoven. “We enable biomanufacturing and life sciences companies to scale with confidence – today and tomorrow. By combining robust infrastructure, energy capacity and a clear long-term vision for redevelopment, we create a platform where innovation can translate into industrial and commercial success. This all happens in the vibrant ecosystem of the Utrecht region with leading academic and research institutes and excellent access to talent.”
Transformation of the campus
The agreement fits within a broader transformation of the campus. Planned renovation works start from 2026 onwards – including the future redevelopment of the RIVM buildings – and will deliver next-generation, fully modernised facilities. These developments offer growing companies a natural pathway from temporary accommodation to future-proof, purpose-built biomanufacturing space without leaving the campus ecosystem.
By attracting and supporting companies at critical growth inflection points, USP Bilthoven continues to strengthen its position as a long-term partner for investors and biomanufacturing companies seeking sustainable value creation, operational resilience and access to a specialised life sciences cluster.
