Jeroen Kingma to be the new Director of Campus & Facilities

As of 1 April 2026, Jeroen Kingma will be the new Director of the Campus & Facilities. In this role, he will lead the Campus & Facilities department and will be responsible for policy and implementation in the areas of real estate, accommodation and facility services. Kingma currently serves as Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board at Zorggroep Tangenborgh.
Jeroen Kingma has over twenty years of experience in executive roles within healthcare, real estate and socially relevant organisations such as Royal BAM Group, Albert Schweitzer Hospital and Zorggroep Tangenborgh. Throughout his career to date, he has been involved in all facets of the real estate chain in some capacity: from investment, development and design to realisation, maintenance and management, facilities and operations. He also has experience as both client and contractor, and is therefore well acquainted with both sides of the table.

Career of Jeroen Kingma
Jeroen Kingma holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and completed a postgraduate programme in Information Analysis and Policy at Utrecht University. He started his career at Akzo Nobel, after which he spent nine years at Albert Schweitzer Hospital. From 2008, he worked for sixteen years in various senior management positions at Royal BAM Group, including as Director of BAM Energy Systems and Director of Vitaal ZorgVast, where he focused on the development and realisation of future-proof healthcare environments. Since 2025, he has been Vice Chair and member of the audit committee of the Supervisory Board of Zorggroep Tangenborgh.
Eddie Verzendaal
Kingma succeeds Eddie Verzendaal as director. Verzendaal worked at Utrecht University for over 22 years and passed away in October 2025 after a brief illness.
