How UtrechtInc. helps startups grow
From a promising idea to a startup: getting there takes more than a good idea. UtrechtInc is a startup incubator that supports students, researchers and entrepreneurs in the Utrecht region during the early stages of their startup. Through validation programmes, personal guidance and a network of experts and investors, UtrechtInc helps founders develop and test their ideas.
On Tuesday 29 September, UtrechtInc will open its doors to visitors. They will get a tour of the incubator and learn more about how UtrechtInc supports ambitious entrepreneurs. We spoke to UtrechtInc about its approach, how its focus has developed and what visitors can expect during the event.
What exactly does UtrechtInc do?
UtrechtInc is a startup incubator for students, researchers and entrepreneurs in the Utrecht region who are in the early stages of developing their startup. We help them validate their ideas and take the first steps towards building a successful startup.
We do this through various validation programmes, personal guidance and a strong network of experts and investors. Our community of fellow entrepreneurs is also an important part of what we offer. Founders can learn from each other, share experiences and help each other move forward.
Have your target groups changed over the years?
Our primary target groups have always been students, researchers and entrepreneurs from the Utrecht region. Over the past few years, however, we have sharpened our thematic focus. Today, we mainly focus on startups working in Life Sciences, Sustainability and EdTech.
This focus connects with the knowledge and expertise present in the Utrecht region and with the societal challenges that innovative solutions can help address.
How do startups value UtrechtInc’s support?
We are proud that UtrechtInc was recognised by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s Leading Startup Hubs 2026. Feedback from our alumni was an important part of the assessment. We see this as a valuable indication that our programmes, guidance and network are appreciated by the founders we support.
Ultimately, our focus is on helping startups develop: giving founders the opportunity to test their ideas, expand their networks and take the next steps in growing their business.
What can visitors expect on Tuesday 29 September?
We will give visitors a tour of our incubator and show them how we support ambitious entrepreneurs in building their startups. We will explain more about our programmes and the guidance we offer, and show how our network and community support founders along the way.
It is a chance to get to know UtrechtInc from the inside and discover how we help entrepreneurs validate their ideas and take them further.
