Veterinary Medicine Outdoor Event Foundation (DOE)
The Veterinary Medicine Outdoor Event is an event organised by students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht on a voluntary basis. It is an educational and enjoyable outdoor day for animal lovers of all ages.
The Veterinary Medicine Outdoor Event is an event organised by students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht on a voluntary basis. It is an educational and enjoyable outdoor day for animal lovers of all ages. Visitors can watch the wonderful shows and demonstrations on the main square or the spectacular mini-marathon. There is also a lecture and workshop square, where visitors can learn all about animals and get hands-on experience. Think, for example, of a workshop on brushing your dog’s teeth, lectures on lymphatic drainage in horses, or going on a tour with the innovative farmer!
This year, the event will take place on Saturday 2 May 2026 and, as always, admission is free for young and old. During this day, visitors can:
- Participate in fascinating workshops, watch demonstrations and take guided tours of our clinics and organic educational farm.
- See animals up close and learn about their care and health.
- Enjoy an exciting mini-marathon with horses and carriage drivers.
- Relax in the cosy food court with live music.
