Plant lovers’ Market Botanic Gardens is back
On Saturday 5 September 2026, you are welcome again to the nicest plant market in the Central Netherlands! In and around the Utrecht University Botanic Gardens, you will find a huge assortment of plants during the Plant lovers’ Market.
Bulbs, tub plants, rock plants, carnivorous plants, houseplants, seeds, trees and shrubs; there is something for everyone. The sellers will enthusiastically guide you through their expertise.
Of course, you also have the opportunity to walk through the Gardens and get inspired for your own environment.
Plant Market
You can count on a wide range of plants: from strong perennials that need little care to special, even rare, plants that require a little more attention. Enthusiasm about plants is central to the exhibitors at this part of the Plant lovers’ Market. This ensures that you can buy healthy plants while getting good advice on the proper location and care of your purchase. Meet other people who know all about your favorite plants. The Plant Market is located on two separate areas in the Gardens.
The Plant lovers’ Market was nog organised in 2025 due to several maintenance projects in the Gardens.
Some exhibitors do not allow payment by pin. We recommend you also bring cash for your purchases!
