Health Jaarontbijt 2026
On Wednesday, 15 April, a special edition of our networking breakfast will take place: the Health Jaarontbijt 2026. During the Dutch Heart of Health Expo – formerly known as Dutch Health Week – and in the midst of the energy of Zorg & ict, we will bring together the regional health innovation network for the flagship annual event of the U-Forward Health BreakFast series. This special edition will focus on the theme of AI in healthcare.
The annual meeting place for the health innovation network of the Utrecht region
On Wednesday, April 15, a special edition of our networking breakfast will take place: the Health Annual Breakfast 2026. During the Dutch Heart of Health Expo – formerly Dutch Health Week – and amidst the energy of Zorg & ICT, we are bringing together the regional health innovation network for the premier annual event within the U-Forward Health Breakfast series.
This is the moment when (digital) health entrepreneurs, innovation managers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and other key players from the Utrecht region meet.
About the U-Forward Health Breakfast series
The Health Annual Breakfast 2026 is a special annual edition within the U-Forward Health Breakfast series. This series is organized by ROM Utrecht Region, Dutch Health Hub, and Utrechtzorg and brings the regional health innovation network together throughout the year around current themes and developments.
Theme – AI in healthcare
Prior to the dynamics of the exhibition floor, we create space for content, networking, and new collaborations. Expect a powerful start to the day, inspiring insights, and valuable conversations with the network that matters.
AI is everywhere — including in healthcare. But what really works in practice, what does it require of organizations, and how do we create value without losing sight of trust, safety, and implementation?
We will discuss this during a panel discussion with, among others:
- Nicky Hekster , Program Manager Health & Care at the AI Coalition 4 Netherlands | AIC4NL and Executive Professor at TIAS School for Business and Society.
- Carl Moons , coordinator of the Health AI Labs at UMC Utrecht .
- Sofie van der Meulen , senior legal advisor at the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (health and data law, including regarding the AI Act and privacy legislation).
Afterwards, we will join the exhibition floor (just like last year) with a brief, targeted exploration of regional entrepreneurs at the Healthcare Innovation Startup Square.
