On 11 March 2026, the Hertz Hall at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht will become the stage for leading scientists and researchers. Renowned speakers like Marion Koopmans and Diederik Gommers will guide you through today’s major health challenges, while researchers from Hogeschool Utrecht will show how science directly contributes to practical solutions.
HU Researchers on Stage
During the gala, three researchers from Hogeschool Utrecht will demonstrate how research contributes to a healthier society:

Manon Bloemen: a pediatric physiotherapist focusing on inclusive movement and healthy development in children and adolescents with (risk of) disabilities or chronic conditions.

Nienke Bleijenberg: concentrates on improving the effectiveness and quality of nursing care for older adults living at home with multiple chronic conditions.

Lizet van Ewijk: works on enhancing quality of life by improving access to care and support for people in vulnerable positions.
Together, they showcase how HU research delivers concrete, human-centered solutions to current health challenges.
