Cycling 4 Climate: Inspiration Route 40 k through Utrecht Science Park

In 2026, a recreational 40 km bike ride will be offered again. During this ride, you will gain inspiration at various projects along the route. You depart from the central starting location, KNMI De Bilt, at 11:00 AM. Afterwards, you will cycle in small groups at your own pace past three locations: Hof van Cartesius Utrecht, Triodos Bank Driebergen, and Botanische Tuinen Utrecht Science Park. Hop on your bike and experience a day full of inspiration and exercise, at your own pace, on your bike. The route is specially designed for everyone who enjoys cycling and wants to contribute to a more sustainable future and the good cause: Solidaridad.

Participate

You can participate on various types of bicycles; on a sporty bike or on your regular city bike. The number of participants is limited, and for visiting the locations, you will cycle at a leisurely pace in groups of 4 to 10 people. From 10:00 AM, you can first take a look around the KNMI de Bilt grounds. Between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM, you will set off on your bikes in sociable groups of 4 to 10 people and visit three inspiring locations:

1. The first stop is between 11:30 and 13:00 at the Hof van Cartesius, Utrecht 
2. The second stop is at 12:00 and 14:00 at Triodos Bank, Driebergen 
3. The third stop is between 2 and 4 pm at the Botanic Gardens, Science Park
