Art and science unite at the Betweter Festival on 26 September
From Friday 26 September to Sunday 5 October, the Utrecht Science Park will be alive with curiosity and exploration during the annual Utrecht Science Week. For over a week, the Utrecht Science Park opens its doors to everyone interested in both applied and fundamental science. In close collaboration with various partners, a diverse programme is put together, with special focus on themes such as sustainability and health.
One of the highlights of the Utrecht Science Week is the Betweter Festival, which will take place this year on Friday 26 September at TivoliVredenburg. The Betweter Festival is an imaginative and inspiring blend of talks, interviews, art installations, film, music, and live scientific research. It provides a unique meeting place where researchers, artists, and visitors come together in a relaxed and creative atmosphere to reflect on the world of tomorrow and today’s big questions.
Visitors can look forward to a wide range of activities, including lectures, interactive experiments, and performances. The themes vary from urgent topics such as climate change and artificial intelligence to visions of humanity’s future. By experiencing live scientific experiments and engaging with researchers, visitors gain a unique insight behind the scenes of science.
The Betweter Festival thus emphasises the power of collaboration between art and science and encourages new insights and creative solutions for societal challenges.
