Collaboration in Utrecht Science Park

Utrecht Science Park is the largest science park in the Netherlands. Together we are working on innovative solutions for societal issues such as a longer, healthier life and sustainability. Together with partners Utrecht University, UMC Utrecht, Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology and Genmab, the Utrecht Science Park foundation developed a series of 5 videos about inspiring collaboration and groundbreaking research at Utrecht Science Park.

Utrecht Molecular Immunology Hub

A good example is the collaboration in the Utrecht Molecular Immunology Hub. Genmab, the Utrecht University and the UMC Utrecht are part of the Molecular Immunology Hub. The unique collaboration at the at the Utrecht Science Park makes these partners global players in the development of antibody therapies against cancer and infectious diseases.

Utrecht Exposome Hub

A good example is the collaboration in the Utrecht Exposome Hub. Researchers from Utrecht University and the UMC Utrecht are collaborating with Danone Nutricia Research, TNO and RIVM at the Utrecht Exposome Hub. They are investigating how environmental factors, in interaction with each other, influence our health. This includes exposure to fine dust, as well as nutrition and exercise. The partners at the Utrecht Science Park are therefore frontrunners in international exposome research.

Regenerative Medicine

All experts in the field of regenerative medicine and stem cell research are situated on one location at the Utrecht Science Park, in the Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht (RMCU). Regenerative medicine is a promising field of interest, where scientists do research with the aim to restore the structure and function of damaged tissue and organs. In the lab of the RMCU researchers work on issues raised by the clinical field. And discoveries made in the lab are tested and applied in the clinic. This way, scientific research contributes to improving the lives of patients. The effect of the collaboration between researchers and doctors at the Utrecht Science Park is unique and authoritative for regenerative medicine and stem cell research worldwide.

Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology

The Princess Máxima Center is the largest pediatric oncology center in Europe and an inspiring example of collaboration at the Utrecht Science Park. The Princess-Máxima Center collaborates with the University Medical Center Utrecht, of which the Wilhelmina Childres’s Hospital is part, in research and care.

Werkspoorkwartier

HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Utrecht University contribute to sustainable urban development through their collaboration coordinated by the Utrecht Sustainability Institute. An inspiring example of the collaboration is the Werkspoorkwartier, an icon for circular redevelopment. Building owners, knowledge institutions, businesses and students are collaborating to transform the area into a location to attract manufacturing companies and creative start-ups. Here, research, education and circular entrepreneurship come together.
