The 38th Utrecht Marathon, in an all-new version powered by Utrecht Science Park, will take place on Sunday, 12 May 2019. The circuits for both junior and senior competitors pass several Utrecht landmarks, allowing runners to see the city in its best light from start to finish.

A single marathon lap
The Marathon will kick off at 9 am. Runners will cover the full distance (42.195 km) by following a brand-new circuit consisting of a single lap. The circuit links various old and new parts of Utrecht. This combination of running through parks, modern areas such as Leidsche Rijn and the old city centre will ensure a unique running experience. The music points along the route will transform the Utrecht Marathon into a truly atmospheric Utrecht event. The circuits for the half marathon (21.1 km), quarter marathon (10.55 km) and mini marathon (around 1.5 km) are also completely new.

Business Run
Running a quarter or half marathon in teams of up to 5 people is possible with the Business Run competition. With special business facilities at Utrecht Science Park, companies can compete with colleagues and partners in a sporty way. Specially for students, this year there is also a Student Run which allows the student societies to compete against each other. The Utrecht Marathon also offers a Hospital Run. The Hospital Run is a unique way of achieving a sporting performance with your colleagues from the hospital and demonstrating which is the most sporting hospital in the Netherlands.

Dutch Cancer Society
The Dutch Cancer Society is the official charity of the Utrecht Marathon. All the participants can donate money to the Dutch Cancer Society or create their own promotional page when registering. The donations go to the Princess Maxima Center located at Utrecht Science Park.

You can register for the various distances via the Utrecht Marathon website.
